Rationale

This ballot is only for the revision of the two equations in Section 7.5.2, in which a linear function is added to the data using the supplied formulas. However, the formula as written divides by ‘n’, but should divide by ‘n-1’ since calculating the slope of a line. Otherwise, the vertical increment and the horizontal increment (in the denominator) will be off by one.
