Rationale

TUBACEX GROUP has developed a new duplex stainless steel grade for seamless tubes and pipes intended for applications in the fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries. Material from three heats, covering nine tube and pipe dimensions, has been produced and tested in support of a proposal to include this grade in ASTM A790. The proposed UNS designation for this grade is S8317x.
