1. Scope
This specification covers face protectors intended for use by field players during the execution of penalty corners in field hockey play. These face protectors are intended to minimize or reduce the potential for facial injury resulting from impacts with field hockey balls. This specification applies to all recognized forms of field hockey play. The scope of this specification is limited to protection of the facial region and does not encompass protection for any other portion of the head.
