Rationale

The main objective is to start with the E1557 and develop an ASTM meta-data system file organization structure to include element groupings such as 1) Buildings and Building-Related Sitework (Current E1557-09 (2024), 2) Non-Building Related Sitework, 3) Waterfront, 4) Drydock, 5) Utilities, 6) Transportation, 7) Bridges (Note E3008-16 (2023) and E2013-19 (2024) will be evaluated to see if they will fit best in a meta-data UNIFORMAT II System) and 8) Field Office Overhead and Home Office Overhead and Profit (E2083-2024). This is not a limit as to the most effective data content or organization, however the existing E1557-09 (2024) is seen as the most effective basis of data organization. We will ultimately need to consider including the UNIFORMAT II for Transportation, Bridges and Field Office Overhead Classification as parts of the overall initiative
