Rationale

When the Appendix of C 1072 (Appendix X1.1) was developed, the modulus of rupture table in TMS 402 was not available. The current version of TMS 402 now contains a modulus of rupture table in Chapter 9. This table was developed to maintain a 2.5 ratio of between the ASD (Ft) values for each mortar, wall and unit configuration. As the Bond Wrench, test produces modulus of rupture values is it more appropriate to compare the characteristic value to this table. Thus, the reference in the Appendix will now point to the Chapter 9 Modulus of Rupture table in TMS 402.
