Rationale

The current standard does not include out-of-square tolerances as found in similar standards for clay brick exposed to view. This ballot item proposes to add out-of-square tolerances, corresponding to those of ASTM C216 and appropriate for application to thin brick, to promote consistency in appearance requirements between thin brick and face brick.
