Rationale

During the development of the practice, two terms were used to describe the mortar used to adhere the thin brick units to the substrate: “mortar bond coat” and “setting bed mortar”. “Setting bed mortar” is the term that should be used, but it was brought to the attention of the Task Group that there are still instances of “mortar bond coat” in the practice, which can result in confusion. The intent of this ballot is to modify the text so that the references to the mortar are consistent.
