** No change in accepted technical standards content is proposed ** This ballot proposes a restructuring of section 7.1 Acceleration Limits to support future ballots. Ballot proposes restructuring 7.1.4 – Revised to only contain information applicable to all acceleration cases. 7.1.5 – New section containing requirements specific to sustained accelerations. 7.1.6 – New section containing information and requirements based on restraint types. 7.1.7 through end of section 7 – Updated heading numbers and references. No changes to actual content. As noted above, this ballot is intended to reorganize the acceleration section with the goal of supporting future ballots. Future efforts supported by this ballot include but are not limited to the following: Text in Figures Acceleration Definitions These future ballots will include efforts in harmonization with EN, alignment with information/requirements in section 6: Patron Restraint, Clearance Envelope, and Containment Design Criteria, and removal of nonmandatory language.
