Rationale

CRSI and ACI are working together on mechanical splice type definitions, performance requirements and qualification testing requirements. Currently, ASTM A1034 and ACI 318-25 are not in alignment. This ballot item proposes reviews that are necessary to align ASTM A1034 and ACI 318-25. This is part of a multi-year, multi-step initiative to harmonize and unify mechanical splice requirements throughout the industry and across various Codes and Standards.
