1. Scope
1.1 This specification covers the use of plastic temporary ceiling construction barriers intended for installation on the underside of the roof or ceiling and below automatic sprinklers, during construction or renovation activities.
1.2 These plastic barriers are intended to protect occupants and workers from dust or debris resulting from the construction or repair work.
1.3 These plastic barriers are intended to provide a critical safety feature that allows continued business operations during construction or renovation activities.
1.4 These plastic barriers are not intended to protect from heavy falling debris.
1.5 These plastic barriers are required to comply with applicable fire test standards so as not to cause increased fire hazard.
1.6 These plastic barriers are also permitted to be installed above sprinkler systems,
