Rationale

ASTM needs a better color loss guide. As CFT was instrumental in getting the new IKW/AISE color set defined and available for sale, in addition to being an active member in the testing, Mark Granja kindly asked Center For Testmaterials (read: Patrick Zwamborn) to take the lead in the revision of this standard. Center For Testmaterials is currently participating in the European IKW workgroup, dealing with similar topics related to Color Transfer, Color Loss etc., so this work can be a valuable addition to the revision of this standard. Since this IKW workgroup operates primarily for the European region we as an ASTM workgroup should translate the outcome of the IKW workgroup into more US/CA specific conditions.
