Rationale

The proposed revision will update the dates for the ASTM standards referenced as well as provide various editorial changes.  All references to F1159 will be removed from F2960 via this WK and subsequent  ballot.  Also, the term “gauge” will be changed to “gage” when referring to track width as that is the accepted railroad industry term (as used by FRA, AREMA and CSX).  The term “gauge” is used when referring to measuring instruments.
