Rationale

ASTM E238 was originally published in 1964 and the current revision, 17a (and pending publication, from reapproval ballot in 2025), does not have a precision and bias statement. This work item was opened to perform a round robin for ASTM E238 for pin-bearing testing to add the precision and bias statement.
