Rationale

E3417 currently requires the use of a sole source of supply reagent, namely a yeast degrading cocktail (YDC). Another reagent, Zymolyase 100T with inhibitors, has been identified that may also be suitable for use with this standard. A working group will evaluate data generated by multiple laboratories and aim to prepare a revised draft standard for ballot.
