Rationale

Installation of Lithium Battery in a Designated Fire Zone (DFZ). A change to F3066 is needed to address lithium batteries installed in a DFZ. The working group will incorporate issue paper verbiage that ensures the location of the battery does not create an additional hazard when exposed to an external fire threat of a 2000° F flame for 15 minutes per AC 20-135.
