ASTM WK96616
1. The "building enclosure" definition within this standard has been updated to include elements of a building which would separate exterior to exterior environments, such as the roof of an open-air carport, a canopy of a loading dock, wing walls, and other similar features which shelter users from weather and which would function as part, or as, the building’s enclosure. 2. "Note 2" was added to the Significance and Use section to describe how this standard might be useful in the evaluation of materials, products, and systems that separate dissimilar or distinct interior environments, such as the walls and ceiling of a cold storage environment from an adjacent non-cold storage environment, or multi-family unit dwellings from each other.
