ASTM WK96244
This Ballot only applies to the change within Section 15.1 of ASTM D7913. The text that is changed has been strikethrough, and it is proposed to be replaced with the new text, which is underlined in purple. The change is provided on next page for your ease of review. Precision statements are mandatory per ASTM. It is noted that the data used for the proposed precision values comes from a single laboratory. This is acceptable by the Form and Style for ASTM Standards (Section A21). This precision serves as an ‘intermediate precision’ as defined in ASTM E456, and meets the mandatory precision requirements until an interlaboratory study (ILS) is conducted. The main proposed change is to the precision statement. The precision values are based on completed statistical work at the University of Miami by Mr. Camilo Vega Vargas, which is also provided in the following peer reviewed publication: Vega, C., Zahoor, Y., Palacios, J., De Caso, F. and Nanni, A., 2024. Evaluation of Precision Statements for Physio-mechanical Characterization Tests on GFRP Bars. Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 52(4).
