(#7 Section 6.3 and 6.6 Minimum data length) Some test methods result in test records with sparse data, yet valid linear regions. When possible, the standard practice should analyze the supplied test record and output appropriate warnings. It is the calling Standard and analyst’s responsibility to ensure appropriate data is passed to ASTM E3076. The analyst is responsible for judging appropriateness of results. This work item is to provide the user more guidance around the minimum number of data points, adding a note to Section 6.3 and updating Section 6.6.
