Rationale

Magnetic coercivity (Hc) is not defined in B887 or B243. The term should be defined to provide clarity and promote shared understanding of the technical term and concept among stakeholders. This revision was balloted at the Subcommittee level and ballot and received negative votes. To resolve the negatives, inclusion of these new terms and definitions are being balloted again at the Subcommittee level. In addition, the proposed acronym and the acrinym for the recently balloted term magnetic saturation are being added to Table X1.1 in Appendix X1. The Subcommittee thanks you for your consideration.
