There is currently no field check guide specific to the characteristics of bioretention media required for reliable bioretention facility performance creating an incomplete chain-of-custody from supplier to installation. This standard seeks to create a framework for a document that can provide quality control continuity throughout the supply process. It is expected that specifying engineers would require a certifricate-of-conformity or similar document based on this guide be delivered along with the media to trace the QC back to the media manufacturer.
