Rationale

ASTM F1117 is due for revision. Since both F1116 and F1117 cover the same items (dielectric footwear) and have overlapping information, this document is an attempt to combine the two Standards into one new ASTM F1117. This version addresses the negatives and comments that were received on the last ballot. The Subcommittee will continue to work on a new in-service Standard for dielectric footwear.
