Preformed Thermoplastic Pavement Markings are currently tested based on AASHTO M249 which is based on testing Granular Thermoplastic. Some of those property limits and test methodology has been deemed no appropriate, so a new material property specification is to be developed. Initially a survey was sent out to DOT's and Mfg to obtain their opinion of the proposed tests and limits in the survey.
