Rationale

Section 8.1 covers the salt solution preparation using ASTM D1193 type IV water. In this paragraph, there is an exception stating that the “limits for chlorides and sodium may be ignored” in this type IV water. The ASTM D1193 document has been updated and has a new limit for “Residual Chlorine”. We are adding this Residual Chlorine limit to the ones that may be ignored.
