Rationale

This work item is to revise D1831-21 test method due for revision with addition in just terminology section. The Previous ballot item G02.G0(25-05) Item 001 received 1 one -ve with recommendation to conduct ILS before making changes in test method. This was discussed during December 9, 2025 meeting at Houston and found to be persuasive. As there is not enough time for completing ILS and method is due for revision, this ballot is being submitted to revise the method and get more time for ILS for proposed changes in the test sample quantity from 50g to 63g.
