Rationale

There is currently no standard test method or practice in the US for operation of a traffic speed deflection device (TSDD). The proposed standard practice will be used by TSDD operators and entities contracting for TSDD data collection services, who include federal, state, and local departments of transportation and engineering consultants. The standard will form a common basis of understanding between service providers and contractors for TSDD operations, data reporting, and data quality management.
