Rationale

At least a couple of research activities were identified after the reapproval of the standard for the use of the CA Profilograph device, particularly for shorter wavelengths over new or repaired pavement sections less than 500 feet. This revision will review those research efforts and revise the current standard accordingly, if appropriate.
