This standard would support the proposed rulemaking and separate the Light Sport Aircraft Maintenance Program and Maintenance Manual standards. Currently, light-sport aircraft are subject to the maintenance requirements of §?91.327. The rule would revise the maintenance requirements for light-sport category aircraft in §?91.327 regarding safety directives and major and minor repairs and alterations. Additionally, the FAA is proposing conforming changes to §§?91.417, 43.1, 43.13, and 65.
