Rationale

The ASTM D37 is currently working on defining the term “total cannabinoids” which is intended to be different from the straight summation of the acidic and neutral form cannabinoids. Therefore, a term for the straight summation of the acidic and neutral form cannabinoids is necessary to distinguish between the two types of "totals" for the marketplace.
