New Practice for Establishing Lead Analysis Method Reporting Limits
1. Scope
This practice covers the process for establishing analytical method reporting limits for lead (Pb) in samples collected in and around buildings and related structures. It does not apply to industrial structures like bridges and towers nor to drinking or surface water samples.
Keywords
lead; detection limit; reporting limit
Rationale
Proposed Practice based on the generally-accepted historic approach for determination of a reporting limit that lots of chemists were taught in college (cited). Note that this applies to only lead (Pb) analyses and is within the Scope of D22.12 to do so.
