A few years ago, a larger study was carried out by the Energy Institute, that shared the information with ISO and ASTM International. At the time kerosine was “inadvertently” not part of the sample matrix. This is a product that some groups, such as the US army, require a method and precision for at an elevated temperature. An ILS connected to this work item, will allow ASTM International to fill the actual precision gap and align D445 with IP 71/1 and ISO 3104 again.
