Rationale

We would like to propose standard methods of documentation during construction to allow for engineers and inspectors to perform quality control of components produced using additive construction by concrete or mortar extrusion. Currently, there is no standard methods of documentation making it difficult for engineers or inspectors to verify that the components meet design requirments or specification. This practice is intended to define the documentation process and the items to be documented and is focused on practical implementation of documentation. Where the process and form of documentation and data analysis would be defined for items to include, but not limited to: Date(s) of printing, Environmental conditions (hourly temperatures and relative humidities), Component ID, Layer, Height, Time of layer start, Time of printer pause, Time of layer stop, Material ID, Time of Mixture start, Time of Mixture placement in printer system, QC of fresh material data (slump, flow, air content, temperature), Cold joint locations, Reinforcement placement height, Time and duration of reinforcement placement, Time and duration of grouting
