New Practice for standard practice for atmospheric leaks using a solid-state sensor as a detector probe
1. Scope
This practice covers procedures for detecting the sources of gas leaking at the rate of 1?×?10–6 Pa m3/s (1?×?10–5 standard cm3/s) or greater. This may be used to locate a leak on any object that can be pressurized with a gas that is detectable by a solid-state detector. The test sensitivity will vary widely depending on the gas being sensed and its concentration.
