Rationale

Section 15.1 requires marking of the "type" in section 1.2. The types shown for the type 1 material DTI's contains a dash number (i.e. Type 325-1) and this would require marking "A325-1" for example. It was found manufacturers are not including the "-1" in the marking and understood not to be the intention to include the -1 when revision was made to combine inch and metric. This revision will correct marking requirements for the types to reflect current practice.
