Rationale

Rationale This Work Item is to start collaboration on development of “guidelines” for proper sampling practice of liquid fuels for testing transient properties such as “cleanliness”. Transient properties change with time and circumstances. It’s believed by some subcommittee members that simply quoting “sampling according to D4057” may be misleading for testing transient properties. The scope is to start a collaboration area to seek inputs from subcommittee members on this topic and to decide what’s the proper format of inserting such guideline in related standards (e.g. D2709).
