New Specification for Waterless Coolant for Electric Vehicles

1. Scope

This specification covers the requirements for waterless coolants used in electric vehicles. Coolants shall provide protection against corrosion, freezing, and overheating. Coolant is a water tolerant fluid. Coolants in electromotive vehicles manage the heat loads within the vehicle and may serve to either cool or heat the batteries or electrical components.
