ASTM WK84415
There is no current standard for the Evaluation and Testing of Printed Elements in Additive Construction to this day. As a constantly evolving industry which has been showing an increase in speed of development and of adoption, standardization is becoming the key to democratize and to make Additive Technology in the Construction Industry readily accessible to the public . As current WKs are developing and working on the Design of Printed Elements in Additive Construction, the purpose of the group I am proposing is to look at Additive Construction from a Life-Cycle perspective. It's necessary, in order to guarantee the safety of the public and to properly train the professionals in the engineering, construction, inspection and approval process of the Additive Construction industry, to provide a Standard that addresses the Testing and Evaluation procedures and methodologies for new and existing printed elements and materials. The standard will not only provide guidance of the methods, but also will address the issue of Systems Dynamics, from a perspective of extending the life of the built product and potential changes in the destination of use.
