Rationale

During the 11/02/22 meeting, E27.04 committee has decided to: 1) Send E2021-15 for re-approval, and 2) Form a task group to formulate the future improvements to the Standard. It is envisioned the revisions will provide more information on: 1) How to minimize the edge effects by improving the ring construction/design, and, 2) Potentially, include a provision to use a disposable aluminum tray to catch molten sample before it can damage the hot plate.
