This test method is intended to test the resistance of a membrane and concrete slab laminate to fail laterally at the interface between them and can be used to compare the lateral failure performance of blind side waterproofing membranes. There is currently not a standard test method for lateral water migration resistance for blindside waterproofing membranes; however, most waterproofing manufacturers list this as a key physical property.
