Rationale

ASTM E3222, published January 2020, and E3207, published in 2021, references E1007 as a test method for use of the classification standard. This ballot adds the new published standard as a referenced standard within E1007 and adds application of usage for the new metrics. Referencing the new published standard is consistent with the reference to E989. This ballot additionally includes a revision to the scope section since paragraph 1.3 restricts use of E1007 data for single-number ratings to ISR, NISR, and AIIC. The revision is intended not to define additional metrics, which are defined in other standards, but to allow for use of E1007 test procedures for metrics defined elsewhere.
