New Guide for the Support Waste from Lysimeter Testing

This standard guide will recommend specific test methodologies, protocols, and conditions to support waste form lysimeter testing applications in support of C1174 disposal site service condition and performance assessment model confirmation. Performing experiments in field lysimeters is one of the best ways of confirming that laboratory experiments provide reasonable model parameter estimates. Field lysimeters are also useful in demonstrating that release models can accurately predict material degradation in a disposal site environment.
