New Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel Oil, Biodiesel Blend (B20)1

1. Scope

1. Scope 1.1 This specification covers three grades of a fuel blend of 20 volume percent (%) biodiesel and 80 volume percent (%) of a middle distillate diesel fuel oil, collectively designated as B20. These grades are suitable for various types of diesel engines, and comply with the requirements of Executive Order 13149 - Greening the Government Through Federal Fleet and Transportation Efficiency. 1.1.1 The biodiesel component of the blend shall conform to the requirements of ASTM D 6751 prior to blending. The remainder of the fuel shall be a middle distillate grade diesel fuel conforming to ASTM D 975. 1.1.2 The fuel sulfur grades are described as follows: 1.1.2.1 Grade B20 (S15)
