Rationale

F606 does not cover Charpy Impact testing cited by other standards referencing F606. This proposal is based on the standard test method described in E23, while providing specific aspects of applicable to fasteners, such as specimen location, notch orientation, and testing temperature. This revised proposal is based on standard approach already in use in A354 and ISO 898-1.
