Rationale

The SAE EOVC task force is working to revise SAE J300 to add one or more new engine oil grades which will have HTHS viscosities below the current range of viscosities covered by the test method precision statement. We will be conducting an ILS to develop an updated precision statement for viscosities between 1.4 mPa.s and 5.0 mPa.s at 150 degrees Celsius.
