The ASTM lubricity task force has conducted a workshop, meetings, and a formal round robin program to improve the precision of the test method. These efforts have been successful in lowering test result variability. Suggestions, improvements, and correction that were identified by the workshop participants, task force members, and other users have been incorporated in this proposed version of the standard to be balloted at Subcommittee E.
