The scope of the Committee shall be the development of specifications for plastic pipe, fittings, and appurtenances; practices for joining and installing plastic pipes; test methods; terminology, systems and services specific to plastic piping systems and the stimulation of related research. The work of the Committee may include the consideration of composite piping systems, and components that are partially plastic and metallic fittings intended for use in plastic piping systems. The work of the Committee will be coordinated with other ASTM committees and other organizations having mutual interests.
