The promotion of knowledge, the fostering of research, and the development of specifications, test methods, defined terminology, practices, and guides for pre-manufactured resilient floor coverings, including linoleum, vinyl, vinyl composition, rubber, cork, and other polymer-based compositions in which the wearing surface is non-textile and non-wood. This committee also develops specifications for accessory products such as wall base, stair treads, etc., and develops practices regarding proper testing and preparation of substrates to receive resilient flooring and other products which are used in the installation of resilient floor coverings but not covered by other ASTM committees. The work of this Committee will be coordinated with other ASTM Committees and other organizations having mutual interest.
