ASTM International, as a premier developer of international standards, works to coordinate the efforts of our membership with those of other regional and international organizations such as CEN and ISO. As part of that effort, ASTM administers the US Technical Advisory Group (US/TAG) to ISO/TC 28. Since the petroleum industry relies on a series of standards from multiple organizations to meet their global objectives, ASTM supports the work of the US/TAG. Participation of the USA in ISO/TC 28 ensures a strong voice in standards development and coordination of global standards efforts in the petroleum sector.
