ASTM Committee F12 on Security Systems and Equipment was formed in 1972. F12 meets twice a year, in April and October, with about 35 members attending two days of technical meetings. The Committee, with a membership of approximately 120, currently has jurisdiction of over 20 standards, published in the Annual book of ASTM Standards, Volume 15.08. F12 has 3 technical subcommittees. The portfolio of approved standards and Work Items under development are available from the List of Subcommittees, Standards and Work Items below. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to security systems, components, and equipment for security of property, life, and product counterfeit protection.
