
Since joining ASTM International in 2002, Morrison has served several terms as chair of the committee on light sport aircraft (F37), and he currently serves as vice chair of the committee.

Since joining ASTM International in 2002, Morrison has served several terms as chair of the committee on light sport aircraft (F37), and he currently serves as vice chair of the committee. He also serves as sub chair for the scoping (F37.01) and airplane (F37.20) subcommittees. For his contributions to the committee, Morrison has received the Outstanding Leadership Award (2016), Daniel Schultz Award (2012), and Award of Appreciation (2004). He is also an active member of the committees on unmanned aircraft systems (F38); aircraft systems (F39); general aviation aircraft (F44); and aerospace personnel (F46). Additionally, Morrison served on the committee on technical committee operations (COTCO) for three years and was given the COTCO Service Award (2012).
Morrison holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with aerospace concentration from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
