Revision of E824-10(2018)e1 Standard Test Method for Transfer of Calibration From Reference to Field Radiometers
Rationale
The revision of this standard started by Gene Zerlaut few years back. The work item associated with the revision expired and this work item is to revive the revision of this standard as recommended by Gene.
The idea is to separate the standard in to two standards. The main impetus to the separation of E824-10 into standards for pyranometers on the one hand, and UV filter radiometers on the other, is the high level of confusion caused by the inclusion of calibration of pyranometers and ultraviolet radiometers in the same document – which has resulted in a standard that is both convoluted and difficult to manage. It is noted that this document has undergone extensive review by the previous working group and essentially all suggestions, additions and deletions recommended by the participants have been adopted.
